ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCT DECLARATION

THE PRESENT OF SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE
Sustainable architecture is a way of conceiving architectural design seeking to optimize natural resources and building systems in such a way as to minimize the environmental impact of buildings on the environment and its inhabitants. In order to evaluate the sustainability of a building, a great deal of information is needed about the materials used, so products must provide all the data related to their origin, manufacture, recyclability, environmental impact, etc. In order to make these data available to architects and planners in a clear and certified format, EPDs have been developed.

WHAT MEANS EPD?
The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a certified document, which communicates transparent and comparable information on the environmental impact of a product’s life cycle. The International EPD® System is a global programme for environmental claims based on ISO 14025 and EN 15804.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Since 2008 until today, as part of our continuous desire for growth and innovation, in all the STACBOND® range as well as in its processes the materials have been optimized to always obtain a simple, robust, aesthetic and functional product. We perfect and study our packaging, always optimising the volume to be transported. This philosophy allows us to obtain savings and reduce transport costs, achieving greater cost efficiency and a lower environmental impact. We use 100% recyclable materials in the design of our products and we think about their life cycle from the design phase. Therefore, STACBOND® PE and STACBOND® FR products have obtained EPD certification.
